Meet Henry Richardson – President and Founder of Define Living at Brittmoore
We spend a lot of time talking about wellness, but what it actually looks like can feel very different from one person to the next.
Through our Mini Pop-Ups and Live Well Workshops, we meet founders and practitioners who are living this work in real, everyday ways. Not perfectly, not rigidly, but intentionally.
So instead of telling their story for them, we asked them a few simple questions that reveal how they think, what they prioritize, and what wellness actually looks like in their life right now.
Here’s a closer look at Henry Richardson, Founder and CEO of Define Living at Brittmoore.

What does “wellness” actually mean to you right now?
Wellness, to me, is less about a prescribed to-do list and more about alignment with intentions. It’s the daily practice of noticing what I need, physically, mentally, and emotionally, and choosing to respond with intention. It’s not something I achieve, it’s something I try to honor daily.
One habit you swear by that supports your well being
I prioritize a moment of pause each day. Whether it’s a walk, a few minutes of stillness, or a deeper meditation. That small reset helps me reconnect with how I want to show up.
Something people would be surprised to learn about you
I’ve been known as a teacher, which has performative elements. The real me is very introspective, and most of what I’ve built has come from learning how to navigate through uncertainty. My deepest sense of confidence comes from moments of introspection.
Your current favorite wellness obsession
The formula is the same, but it has a slightly new look. The formula is strength + cardio + flexibility = a thriving fitness program. Add nutrition, moments of mindfulness, and a sense of purpose and you are thriving! What is a little different is the element of strength. I have been doing Pilates for over 20 years, but over the past two years, I’ve been adding heavy weight lifting and I am loving it!
A local spot you love or keep going back to
If I told you my daily routine, you would realize I’m a total bore 🙂 However, my family and I LOVE movies! We love going to iPic whenever we get a free weekend!
What are you building or focusing on this season?
We are so excited about our Define Living: Park Row. We are focused on building environments that support how people actually want to live, not just aesthetically, but in a way that makes wellbeing more accessible day to day.
